The Willie Wags Workshop: July Women's Collective
This product is currently sold out.
Join us Monday, July 29th from 6-8pm after hours for our monthly Women's Collective!
This is your space. Welcome to Bangor's own Women's Collective. We are a movement of local entrepreneurial women who use our skills, voices, gifts and talents to empower one another in our personal and professional lives. We believe in community, the common good, hustling hard, sacrifice, hugs, high fives, keeping it real and supporting our fellow women. Each month we gather after hours at The Willie Wags to discuss a different topic led by a guest speaker as well as address "hot items" from our attendees. Come ready to learn, laugh, enjoy good company and expand your circle!
This month's in-person guest speaker is Heather Lux, owner of True North Beauty, a skincare line made in Maine that focuses not only on natural beauty but also helping women build confidence by feeling beautiful in their own skin. She will be discussing the story behind her business, the importance of having a WHY, and her experience of how she left the corporate world to focus on her business full time. Here's more about Heather:
"Many years ago, I was at a crossroads in my life. I felt that I had completely lost all the direction and purpose I had in my early thirties and that my life was not going the way I envisioned it. I realized that I’d become uncomfortable in my own skin and that I wasn’t living life for me anymore.
To try and get myself back on track, I went on a solo journey and during this trip I made an effort to reconnect with myself and define my life goals. I ended up rediscovering my confidence and purpose in life and redefined my passions. Going through that experience helped reignite my spirit and as a people-person I learned that I am at my best and feel the most fulfilled when I am helping people find their best selves. From that moment on, I knew I was going to do things with purpose and follow my “true north.” Soon after my journey, my WHY became clear and True North Beauty was born.
As time goes on, I'm able to connect with women who share my experiences - others who struggled with finding balance, beauty, purpose, passion, and confidence in their everyday lives. It soon became clear to me that through my products, I was connecting with people at a deeper level and helping them achieve confidence.
My mission is clear; to meet people at a crucial point in their lives and help them cultivate both the confidence and natural beauty that they carry within."
Coffee, wine and munchies will be served during each month's collective.
